Rugby-Late Reds win sets up top two Super Rugby clash with Brumbies

(Reuters) - Seru Uru's late try earned the Queensland Reds a 33-28 victory over the Fijian Drua on Saturday to maintain their winning start to the Super Rugby Pacific season and ensure Brad Thorn's team will face the table-topping ACT Brumbies with only a point separating the sides.

The Reds will renew their rivalry with the Brumbies on Friday with Dan McKellar's side holding a slender lead at the summit after their 36-17 win over the Melbourne Rebels on Friday evening.

Thorn's side were drawn into an exhilarating battle in Brisbane, with late tries from Onisi Ratave, Joseva Tamani - who ran from deep inside his own half to score - and Vinaya Habosi pulling the Fijians level with only nine minutes remaining.

Canterbury Crusaders slipped to third, three points behind the Brumbies, following their 24-21 loss at the hands of the Waikato Chiefs.

Rameka Poihipi scored in the corner in the 81st minute to seal the victory in Christchurch for the Chiefs, who picked up their second win in three games to move onto nine points and into sixth place.

On Sunday Will Harrison claimed 17 points, including a try late in the first half, as the NSW Waratahs handed the Western Force a 22-17 defeat in Sydney.

The victory moves the Waratahs into fourth with 11 points, two points ahead of the Auckland Blues after Tony Brown's
