Ruck and Roll: Every week is shark week with Kinsale RFC!

Welcome to Ruck and Roll, the Rugby World Cup show for young people. It's Episode 4 and this time out Seán and MC are in Cork - Kinsale RFC to be exact!

They have a cool nickname - The Sharks! We dive in for lots of fun, games and gags. Plus, we hear about a dog named after an Irish player and we look back at the epic Ireland vs South Africa match.

And, we look forward to playing our Celtic cousins Scotland next time out. Our expert pundits, Darren Cave and Bernard Jackman (borrowed from Against The Head) call the game and make bold predictions!!

You might recognise some of the faces from RTÉ News earlier in the year! The U12 team, who we meet, travelled to France to represent their club and their country at a mini-world cup tournament.

Kinsale Rugby Club is located just outside the picturesque fishing village of Kinsale and their pitches boast views of both Kinsale harbour and Oysterhaven bay. While it all looks lovely, the big sea breeze can make for difficult rugby conditions in the middle of winter!

The club was founded in 1982, and they proudly celebrated their 40th anniversary last year. However, rugby in Kinsale goes back a lot further, with records showing matches being hosted in town as long as 100 years ago!

There's history everywhere in Kinsale, with the town famous for the Battle of Kinsale in 1601 fought between the British, Spanish AND Irish! Quite the scrum!

Since it's foundation, Kinsale RFC has been a community-focused club. They've welcomed thousands of players over the years and are proud to call current Munster hooker Scott Buckley a former player.
