Ruben Neves fires warning to Man Utd, West Ham & Tottenham as Wolves halt losing run

Wolverhampton Wanderers are still in the race for Europe, insists midfielder Ruben Neves.

Wolves cut a run of three straight defeats on Thursday by dismantling Watford 4-0 at Molineux. Neves rounded off the win with a stunning lob over Ben Foster to score his fourth Premier League goal of the season.

The club remains in eighth place in the table, two points behind Tottenham and West Ham, and four away from fifth-placed Manchester United. Arsenal currently sit in fourth spot, five points ahead of Wolves, with three games-in-hand.

Catching Spurs, West Ham and United isn’t beyond the realms of possibility for Wolves, who face a double-header against relegation fighters Everton and Leeds United before the international break.

"It's still possible and of course we want to go as far as we can in the table,” said Neves, after helping Wolves down Watford at Molineux. "But we can only do that if we win our games, we work and try to win the next one.

"Of course we will try to win every single game until the end. That is our main goal since the start of the season, win every single game.

"We know it's not easy and it's really hard to do, but that's our mentality and our target, to win as many points as we can. It doesn't matter where we are playing, we try to get the points.”

Raul Jimenez will be key to Wolves’ European hopes after regaining his place in Bruno Lage’s starting line-up. The Mexican netted his sixth goal of the season against Watford, and his second from open play since November.

"Everyone knows Raul, he's an amazing player and one of the best players I have ever played with,” Neves added.

"The way he works for the team is unbelievable. It's really hard to find a striker as complete as him.
