"From what I'm hearing" - Journalist shares worrying update on Ruben Neves' future at Wolves

Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves is ready for a move away from the club this summer, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

Neves is coming towards the end of his fifth season at Molineux, and it could well be his final one.

Despite still having over two years left on his contract, Wolves have reportedly opened talks with the 25-year-old to try to extend his deal.

The club’s technical director Scott Sellars has suggested that the club are still optimistic of convincing him to stay.

However, it is understood that the club would be willing to sell their prized asset, who they value at £50m, if he fails to sign on the dotted line.

Neves is attracting interest from a number of clubs across Europe. Arsenal, Manchester United, Real Madrid and PSG are all believed to be tracking him ahead of the transfer window re-opening.

Neves has been a key player at Wolves over the last five years, helping the side gain promotion to the Premier League and then playing his part as they re-established themselves in the top-flight.

Jones thinks he has enjoyed his time in the Midlands, but feels he is ready to take the next step in his career at this point.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT about Neves, Jones said: “He loves Wolves, he’s loved being there. But, I do think he’s ready for the next challenge, from what I’m hearing.”

Wolves have had some excellent players over the last few years as they have started to compete with some of the top clubs in the country.

The likes of Conor Coady, Joao Moutinho and Raul Jimenez have all proven their worth under Nuno Espirito Santo and Bruno Lage, becoming some of the first names on the teamsheet.
