The countdown to the start of the Ruben Amorim era at Manchester United is approaching its conclusion, with just days to go until his first match in charge.

The new United boss will step into a Premier League dugout for the first time this weekend, as his new side make the trip to Ipswich Town on Sunday. Amorim’s arrival in England will be subject of much intrigue across the division with the 39-year-old’s tactical style leading former club Sporting to an unbeaten start in Portugal and 4-1 win over Manchester City in the Champions League earlier this month.

But how much of his style will need to change if he is to make an instant impact at Old Trafford? The new boss has been known to favour a 3-4-3 formation during his time in his home country, but according to our latest MEN poll, which nearly 10,000 of you responded to, it appears that things may have to change to achieve success.

When asked if Amorim may need to adapt his tactics upon arrival in Manchester, 67 per cent of United fans agreed, with just 33 per cent suggesting that he should stick to United's current ideas.

And with the January transfer window now fast approaching, supporters were also quick to make it clear which position they would like to see be improved. United’s forward line has struggled for goals so far this season, with the likes of summer signing Joshua Zirkzee, Rasmus Hojlund and Marcus Rashford all registering just one league goal each - and 63 per cent of fans have stated that they would like to see a new striker come in during the next window.
