Ruben Amorim press conference LIVE - Man United team news plus injury latest and transfer updates

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim will be speaking to the media today for the first time in 2026 as he previews Sunday's trip to Elland Road to face Leeds.

This weekend marks Amorim's first taste of the rivalry between Leeds and United, and he is likely to get a taste of the hostility from the moment he gets off the bus in Yorkshire. The rivalry could come up in the press conference this afternoon, as will the state of the United squad heading into the game.

After the Wolves draw, Amorim insisted he would not be rushing any players back into the fold with the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo all out injured. Mainoo is the player most likely to return first but we should get an update on the quartet today.

The January transfer window is also likely to be a big topic this afternoon following its opening on New Year's Day. Joshua Zirkzee is the first-team star most likely to be sold with AS Roma interested.

Zirkzee could also feature if Amorim is asked again about his substitutions during matches. Many criticised the United boss for taking the Dutchman off at half time in midweek.
