RTÉ Sport confirms extensive Allianz Leagues coverage

The clash of Kerry and Derry will begin RTÉ's extensive coverage of the upcoming Allianz Football and Hurling leagues.

The men from the Kingdom relinquished their All-Ireland crown with a defeat to Dublin in last year's final and their new journey will begin by welcoming the Oak Leaf County - now managed by old foe Mickey Harte - to Tralee on Saturday 27 January.

The following weekend it's the turn of league holders Mayo and All-Ireland champions Dublin who will lock horns at Castlebar. Both games will be live on RTÉ2 and the RTÉ Player.

The Allianz Hurling League coverage starts on Saturday 10 February on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player with Cork hosting Kilkenny.

Allianz League Sunday returns to RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player on Sunday 28 January when Joanne Cantwell and guests will have highlights and analysis of the weekend's league action.

Saturday Sport and Sunday Sport on RTÉ Radio One will carry commentary, reports and interviews throughout the Allianz National Leagues.

Online, rte.ie/sport and the RTÉ News app will carry live blogs, score updates and reports, as well as a twice weekly podcast.

The Allianz Leagues coverage forms just part of a bumper year of live national and international sport on RTÉ including the GAA Championships, Camogie Championship; the Investec Champions Cup, URC and the Men's, Women's and U20s Six Nations in rugby; UEFA Euro 2024, Champions League, Nations League, Women's National Team, Airtricity League and Sports Direct FAI Cup in soccer; horse racing; and the big one, the Paris Olympics and Paralympics beginning at the end of July.
