RTÉ GAA Podcast: O'Neill on integration under McAleese
With the news that Mary McAleese has been appointed independent chairperson of the integration process between the Camogie Association, the GAA and the LGFA, Mikey Stafford and Rory O'Neill chat to former GAA president Liam O'Neill about his own efforts to merge the associations.
He details the lengths he went to during his tenure and the opposition he met. Despite this he believes that the former President of Ireland has every chance to succeed, with the success of the One Club scheme and renewed enthusiasm across the board evident in recent years.
Liam also chats to us about the ongoing issue of referee abuse and puts forward his own proposal for dealing with the problem.
