Roy Keane slams David de Gea and says he'd be 'swinging punches' in best Manchester United rants

Roy Keane has not held back during his time as a pundit for Sky Sports.

He first joined the likes of Gary Neville and Graeme Souness at Sky in 2019. His no-nonsense approach has gathered viral interest due to his often honest and damning criticism of players and managers, particularly when it comes to Manchester United.

"They should be embarrassed."

When United slumped to a 6-3 loss against their noisy neighbours Manchester City on October 2, Keane pulled no punches when it came to his former side’s disastrous performance.

“Nothing for United to take out of this game, from the players' point of view, they should be embarrassed. You can’t go in at half-time 4-0 down, it’s hugely embarrassing, as brilliant as Man City were. They got overran in midfield, defensively all over the shop. No leadership, there was nothing there from Man United."

"Shame on them."

After United confirmed the sacking of Jose Mourinho, Keane shared his frustration over United’s weak-minded dressing room.

“Then for some of them to down tools… shame on them. I’m not Mourinho’s biggest fan, but I can’t tolerate footballers who hide behind their agents or their friends in the media.

“People say I’m a bit old school, I call it good school. No matter what’s going on at your club, you go out and give it your all. The idea that these players may be a little bit upset…and it’s not just at United. The modern player, they aren’t just weak players, they are very weak human beings.”
