Ronda Rousey victorious in surprise match after WWE SmackDown goes off the air

Ronda Rousey wrestled an impromptu match after last night’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown went off the air.

Fans in Oklahoma City would not have expected to see Ronda Rousey wrestle last night, just six days after her WWE return.

Rousey made her shock return to WWE at the Royal Rumble on January 29, winning her first match since April 2019 to earn a title shot at WrestleMania.

After appearing on this week’s episode of WWE Raw, Rousey also turned up on SmackDown last night, challenging Charlotte Flair to a title match at the biggest show of the year.

As she prepares to get back into the ring, Rousey will likely be wrestling pretty frequently in dark matches and at house shows, and that’s exactly what fans were treated to last night.

After the episode of Friday Night SmackDown went off the air, Ronda Rousey teamed with Naomi to take on Charlotte Flair and Natalya in tag team competition.

Rousey tapped out Natalya pretty quickly to win the match, with neither Flair nor Naomi entering the match at any point of its duration.

The match wasn’t particularly long, likely because Rousey is still in the early stages of training to get back to 100% ring sharpness for her match at WrestleMania.

At house shows in Canada in early March, Ronda Rousey is set to team with Sasha Banks as the pair take on Charlotte Flair and Shayna Baszler in tag team action.

Ronda Rousey is set to face Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania this year, with WWE already having mamouth plans for her heading into 2023, which you can read more about by clicking here.
