After his Unified WWE Universal Championship win at WrestleMania 38, Roman Reigns is standing tall as WWE’s biggest Superstar. 

This November will mark ten years since Reigns made his WWE debut as part of The Shield, so GiveMeSport looks back at the top ten moments in Roman’s controversial WWE career so far. 

TRIO TROUBLE!

November 2012 

Survivor Series has become renowned for the place to make a big WWE debuts, and Roman is no exception. Reigns made a big splash upon entering WWE alongside Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, gate-crashing the evenings main event between John Cena, CM Punk and Ryback to announce their arrival as new force to be reckoned with. Together the trio would be known as The Shield and would go onto to dominate WWE for the next two years – with Roman Reigns earmarked as the future Superstar right from the off. 

ROCKY RUMBLE!

January 2015

Following the break-up of The Shield, Roman quickly rose through the WWE ranks as a singles star and was pushed right into the main event picture – much to the chagrin of some WWE fans who thought they were being force fed a new ‘John Cena’. Nevertheless, WWE continued with Reigns’ trajectory, which included the infamous Royal Rumble win in 2015. Roman booked his place in the main event of WrestleMania 31 by winning the battle royal against a backdrop of discontent from the fans in attendance. Not even the approval of cousin The Rock in the closing moments could appease the audience, however it remains an infamous win in Roman’s WWE journey.
