Vince McMahon 'sees a young John Cena' in WWE Raw star

A backstage report has revealed how highly Vince McMahon currently rates Theory in WWE. 

Ever since Survivor Series last November, we’ve seen Theory as a prominent part of Monday Night Raw, often sharing the screen with the WWE Chairman in a mentor tole. 

That stock has continued to rise in 2022, with Theory’s memorable appearance in the Elimination Chamber, where he shared the closing moments with Brock Lesnar, his role at WrestleMania alongside Stone Cold Steve Austin and the recent US Title triumph over Finn Balor. 

The rise of the 24-year-old doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon either, with a new backstage note from WrestleVotes claiming that the reason McMahon has so much time for Theory is because he sees him as ‘a young John Cena.’

Now that his push is in full effect, source states he anticipates bigger & bigger things for Theory. A person with direct knowledge states Vince “sees a young John Cena in Theory” and will “give the kid everything he needs to be successful”

Cena made his WWE debut as a 25-year-old, famously answering the challenge from Kurt Angle and telling the Olympic Gold Medallist he had ‘ruthless aggression’. Cena would go on to become one the biggest stars in the company’s history, with sixteen world title runs as WWE’s franchise player for the next two decades. 

Since then, the 45-year-old has followed The Rock in forging a career in Hollywood and is currently enjoying an extended run as The Peacemaker as part of the Marvel Multiverse.
