Robin van Persie: Ex-Man Utd & Arsenal man's brilliance shown in viral video

Robin van Persie was an absolutely incredible striker.

After making his debut for Feyenoord at the age of 17, Van Persie moved to the Premier League with Arsenal in 2004.

Van Persie went on to have great success with Arsenal, scoring 132 goals in 278 games.

He made the controversial decision to move to Manchester United in 2012, a move that annoyed a lot of Arsenal supporters.

But his move was vindicated as he won the Premier League title with the Red Devils in his first campaign.

His time at the club came to an end in 2015 when he departed for Fenerbahce. He hung up his boots in 2019 after a second stint with his boyhood club, Feyenoord.

In total, Van Persie hit the back of the net over 300 times for club and country.

He possessed incredible technical ability and scored some outrageous goals during his career.

And now, some three years after he retired, a video has gone viral on social media which remembers just how brilliant he was.

The clip, posted by Twitter user @ThaCarterr4, shows Van Persie scoring a number of screamers.

The caption alongside the video reads: “They don’t make players like him anymore.” View the video below…
