Robbie Mulhern looks set to become the next Warrington Wolves player to leave the club after failing to agree terms on a new deal. Rugby League Live Understands talks have stalled and Mulhern's future is now likely to be away from the Halliwell Jones Stadium once his contract expires at the end of the season.
The 27-year-old England international joined the club from Hull KR in 2021 on a two-year deal and has made 31 Super League appearances for the club since. There was an expectation that he would remain at the club but a deal hasn't been struck. Now, Wire are understood to have secured deals for Paul Vaughan and Josh McGuire, who will join a front-row already consisting of Thomas Mikaele, Joe Philbin and incoming props Sam Kasiano and Gil Dudson.
With Joe Bullock and James Harrison also under contract, it has left Mulhern on the outer and he is now understood to be open to offers elsewhere as he looks to secure his future for next season. Rugby League Live understands one Super League club has already expressed an interest in signing the Leeds Rhinos academy product for next season.
Mulhern has made over 100 Super League appearances during his career, playing the majority of those at Hull KR. With the Robins, Mulhern enjoyed a rapid rise that saw him earn international honours before making the move to Warrington in a swap deal that saw Luis Johnson move the other way.
He is set to be one of numerous players to leave the club at the end of the season, with Powell ushering in change for 2023.
