Rob Cross' 'jealous' Luke Littler point speaks volumes are darts rivals are warned

Rob Cross has sent a warning to his darts rivals about being 'jealous' of Luke Littler.

He insists that there's 'no need to be jealous' of the 17-year-old's impressive achievements. Littler has been making waves in the world of darts since his amazing performance at the World Championships.

In just one month, this young star won the Bahrain Masters, reached the final of the Dutch Masters and beat World No. 1 Luke Humphries twice in a row on his Premier League debut. Many believe that Littler, who is still a teenager, will rule the sport for many years.

The media have supported Littler and he has quickly become one of the most well-known faces in British sport. While Littler's quick rise might make some of his rivals feel jealous, Cross only admires the young player.

In a chat with Lucky Block, Cross said: "Every hurdle that he [Littler] comes across at the minute, he's got the answers for. I think he's fantastic, I really do.

"Has darts ever had that much reach before and after the World Championship before? He's got a million followers on Instagram and he's done it in 10 minutes.

"It's absolutely amazing. Not forgetting that there's no need to be jealous of this boy for what he's achieving because every one of us dart players is going to benefit from it.

"More money goes into the game, there's more injection of prize money and everyone will step up." Littler's World Darts Championship final against Humphries was a record-breaker for Sky Sports.
