Rio Ferdinand tore into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick for their handling of Jadon Sancho, blaming them for his struggles.

Plenty had been expected of the forward after his £73m move from Borussia Dortmund last summer.

United desperately targeted the England international after failing to land him the year before in the transfer saga of the year.

And after finally getting their man, Sancho has largely failed to impress when given the chance.

Initially, the 21-year-old struggled and was handed spare minutes by Solskjaer as he struggled to get to grips with the Premier League.

The Norwegian was sacked and Michael Carrick came in - where Sancho scored his first goal in the league in a 1-1 draw against Chelsea.

But his form dipped yet again under Rangnick, though he got his second of the season in the FA Cup loss to Middlesbrough on Friday night.

And Ferdinand has tore into the two managers for Sancho’s struggles after failing to set up their sides to get the best out of the winger.
