Ric Flair in-ring return: Ex-WCW commentator tries to block WWE legend's shock comeback

Ric Flair, two-time WWE Hall of Famer, is rumoured to be making a sensational in-ring return, at the age of 73.

Ric Flair hasn’t wrestled a proper match 2011 during his time with TNA (now IMPACT Wrestling), but that could be about to change.

Reports from Dave Meltzer have indicated that Flair is preparing to get back into the ring for another match, despite turning 73 just a few months ago.

The current rumour is that Flair is going to team with FTR to take on the Rock ‘N’ Roll Express and another opponent at some stage this year.

Flair has shared videos of himself training with AEW’s Jay Lethal on social media over the last couple of weeks, so it does seem like he is preparing to get back into the ring.

However, Christopher Cruise, who used to work with WCW, is trying to put a stop to Flair’s reported desire to get back into the ring.

Flair has battled some pretty serious health issues over the last couple of years, so much so that he’s been in a coma twice.

Taking his health issues and age into consideration, Cruise has taken to Facebook, as can be seen above, to launch a campaign to stop Flair stepping back into the ring.

Cruise said that the 16-time World Champion should not be able to step inside the ring again, and showed an email that he sent to the Maryland State Athletic Commission to try and stop it happening.

In his post, the ex-WCW man urged fans reading his post to do the same and email the athletic commission to try and put a stop to reported plans for Flair’s in-ring
