Rhiannon Roberts: Liverpool defender scores goal in her wedding dress

Liverpool star Rhiannon Roberts recently tied the knot with her partner, former Blackburn Rovers coach Nathan Rooney.

The two celebrated their day with their nearest and dearest, which included Roberts’ teammates at Liverpool and Sky Sports pundit Sue Smith.

The images of the married couple are breathtaking — but there’s one video they have shared that has truly stolen the show.

After the ceremony, the wedding party — which of course was heavy with football personalities — moved the celebrations outside to have a classic kick about.

The natural competitiveness couldn’t help but come through as they played a ‘Girls vs Boys’ match. And would it really be a wedding day if the bride didn’t score by nutmegging her opponent?

Roberts posted a video to her Twitter account on Saturday, showing her right in the thick of the match while still wearing her beautiful white wedding dress.
