Rhea Ripley: WWE star could be set for shock career move
The Judgement Day’s next member could be plucked from the ranks NXT 2.0 after a massive tease from Rhea Ripley suggesting she’s heading back to the brand.
Rhea Ripley became the latest name to join Damian Priest in Edge’s faction, when she interfered during Edge’s match with AJ Styles at WrestleMania Backlash and aligned herself with the WWE Hall of Famer.
Since then, Edge has been on a social media rampage by posting several images of WWE Superstars and hinting that they could be next in line to become members of The Judgement. Including names such as Ciampa, Finn Balor, Paige, Bayley and even current foes Styles and Liv Morgan.
Now Rhea Ripley has taken to her own social media account to post a tease of her own. Suggesting that she could be headed to NXT this week by simply posting the word Tuesday and a sand timer to her Twitter page.
Tuesday. ⏳
Rhea was a massive part of the previous era of NXT, capturing the NXT Women’s Championship from Shayna Baszler in 2020 and holding it for three months before losing to Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 36’s show-stealer. Ripley also led Team NXT to a victory at the 2019 Survivor Series, where they defeated the Raw and SmackDown teams.
In recent months we’ve seen AJ Styles and Riddle both venture over to NXT 2.0 to compete in programmes, as well as Dolph Ziggler, who became NXT Champion in the lead up to WrestleMania this year. Now it looks like Rhea Ripley could be the latest name from the main roster to head to the brand.
The tweet will spark speculation of which NXT 2.0 talent could be set for a role in The Judgement Day, especially after reports emerged earlier this month detailing plans for Harland to be part of the group before he was released by WWE last month.
