Reports suggest Forspoken has been delayed
Square Enix’s upcoming gaming project Forspoken has been hit with a delay, according to reports.
The all-new action RPG had been scheduled to release in May this year but it could be that the developers may make an announcement on the delay soon.
Forspoken is slated to be one of the biggest exclusive launches that Sony has coming for PlayStation 5 this year, where players follow the adventures of Frey Holland in the unforgiving fantasy world of Athia.
This game is generating excitement because of the potential inclusion of ray tracing due to the large-scale location that Forspoken provides, meaning we could see some stunning lighting effects on launch.
However, gamers could be made to wait a little bit longer following reports that emerged on Thursday.

It could be the case that Forspoken has suffered has a developmental setback and Square Enix could be able to reveal that the release for the game will have to be pushed back.
According to AccountNGT, the announcement could be made at the next PlayStation Event, with many new IPs coming later this month.

Delays in the gaming industry are becoming all the more common due to the implications that the COVID-19 pandemic caused worldwide. Before that, it would have been a complete shock if a game suffered a setback.
Because of this, it wouldn’t be hugely surprising if Square Enix, the publishers, and Luminous Productions, wanted more time to refine Forspoken.
