This Thursday evening is exactly five years to the day since Hull’s last win over St Helens; a narrow 8-6 victory at Langtree Park including a try and two goals from Marc Sneyd. Since then, the Saints have won the last thirteen meetings between the two sides and have gone on to win a Challenge Cup trophy and three Super League titles.

They are the most successful side in the summer era and the best team in the competition. Hull have it all to do to beat them come Sunday afternoon.

In those thirteen defeats since that night on Friday August 11th, Saints have scored 30 points or more on nine different occasions, with only the Challenge Cup loss of 2018 seeing the Black and Whites get within touching distance.
