Regan Charles-Cook is Hibs transfer target as Malky Mackay seeks reunion with former Ross County star
Hibs are keen on taking Regan Charles-Cook back to the Scottish Premiership.
The left winger previously had a successful spell at Ross County under Malky Mackay, who is now the sporting director at Easter Road.
The 27-year-old is set to become a free agent this summer when his deal with Belgian side Eupen expires, and Record Sport understands Mackay has put the Grenada international on David Gray’s radar, believing he would be a real asset to the Hibees.
The Edinburgh club know they face stiff competition from England and Premiership rivals, but hope Mackay’s relationship can be the key.
The former Staggies boss got the best out of Charles-Cook when he moved up to Ross County, as the forward bagged 10 goals for the Highland club as they claimed a top six spot in the 2021/22 campaign.
He previously played for Charlton and Gillingham before Stuart Kettlewell took him to County in 2020. Hibs have already been active this summer, Jamie McGrath on a pre-contract from Aberdeen.
The Republic of Ireland international will sign a three year deal with the capital side when his existing deal expires in the summer.
Hibs have also been linked with a loan move to sign Bournemouth keeper Alex Paulsen on loan.
The Black Knights, headed by Cherries owner Bill Foley, also gold a stake in the Easter Road club.
