Ref's call tough to Swallow: Sekhukhune boss furious at 'poor' PSL officiating

Sekhukhune United head coach Brandon Truter was left furious when a questionable officiating call allowed Moroka Swallows to snatch a thrilling 2-1 win in their DStv Premiership showdown on Wednesday.

The match was evenly poised at 1-1 after Lindokuhle Mtshali's 16th-minute opener had been countered by Chibuike Ohizu's 25th-minute strike.

Referee Siyabonga Nkomo did not sound his whistle for a free-kick and allowed the goal to stand.

Surprisingly, referee Simon Hooper, aided by VAR (Video Assistant Referee) Michael Salisbury and assistant VAR Richard West, opted not to grant the penalty.

The match officials have since been punished by not being selected to officiate in the Premier League this weekend.
