Red Arrows LIVE as jets fly over Lancashire and north west for Blackpool Airshow

The Red Arrows will be flying over the north west of England this weekend for the aerobatic team's displays at Blackpool Airshow.

Today, Saturday, the team will perform at the airshow at 2pm, offering spectators a dazzling display of synchronisation, agility and precision.

Then the team will head up to Scotland for Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Flypast later in the day.

However, even if you are not at the airshow, you may still be able to see them if you look up along their planned route at the right time.

The will set off from Blackpool Airport at 1.38pm, making a loop over Southport at 1.40pm before flying over North Wales - they are due to be visible over Llandudno at 1.47pm then Rhyl at 1.49pm.

Then the team will fly over Lancashire towards Blackpool, passing south west of Belmont, just outside Greater Manchester, at 1.55pm and south east of Copster Green at 1.57pm.

Following the airshow display the Red Arrows will depart Blackpool at 5.42pm, flying over Cleveleys at 5.44pm, then onto Haverthwaite at 5.47pm. The team will be visible north west of Penrith at 5.52pm and then north west of Preston at 6.04pm. The Red Arrows are due to fly over Edinburgh at 6.15pm.

If you don't catch the Red Arrows today, they will fly the same route again on Sunday as they make a second appearance in Blackpool to finish the airshow at around 5pm.
