Ravens unsure if Lamar Jackson (ankle) will play vs. Falcons - ESPN

OWINGS MILLS, Md. — The Baltimore Ravens are uncertain whether quarterback Lamar Jackson will play Sunday night against the Atlanta Falcons.

«I don't know the chances yet,» Ravens coach Jesse Minter said Monday. «We're still gathering a lot of the information and the imaging and things like that, just dealing with a little bit of an ankle and we'll kind of see where that shakes out. [I have] full trust and confidence in him that when it's ready to roll that we'll roll and go from there.»

Jackson injured his left ankle in Sunday's 24-18 win over the Tennessee Titans and did not play in the second half. The two-time NFL Most Valuable Player left M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday night wearing a protective boot on his left foot.

If Jackson can't play Sunday, the Ravens will start Tyler Huntley, who is 5-6 as a fill-in starter for Baltimore.

Asked if Jackson's injury is considered short or long term, Minter said, «I really don't think it's going to be crazy long term, but we'll see what happens.»

With Jackson as their starting quarterback, the Ravens are 79-32 (.712), averaging 28.4 points per game. Without Jackson since the start of the 2019 season, Baltimore is 6-11 (.353) with its average points per game dropping to 17.6.

«There's one Lamar Jackson, the guy's a two-time MVP,» Minter said. «And so I think for anybody to have to say we're being compared to Lamar is unfair and not realistic. I think [Huntley] as a backup quarterback in this league and even as a starter at times has shown the ability to come in and really kind of run the offense, make plays with his legs, be able to make plays on third down.»

In Jackson's nine-year career, he has missed a total of 17 games. He has not played in 13 games due to injuries, two games
