Source - Rams optimistic Puka Nacua will play vs. Raiders - ESPN

The Los Angeles Rams are optimistic that star wide receiver Puka Nacua will play Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders, a source told ESPN.

Nacua, who is listed as questionable because of a calf injury, was feeling better Saturday, according to the source, who said: «As long as there aren't any setbacks, we feel good about him being available to play.»

Nacua underwent an MRI on his calf Thursday that came back better than the Rams had hoped, sources said. He did not practice Friday.

Rams coach Sean McVay told reporters that there wasn't a specific play when the injury occurred, but Nacua «felt it where he wasn't able to have some of the power and full explosion.»

Sunday's road game against the Raiders will be something of a homecoming for Nacua, who was born in Las Vegas and spent the first 11 years of his life there before moving to Utah in 2012.

The Rams are already without wide receiver Davante Adams, who will miss six to 10 weeks after he injured his hamstring in Week 6.

Nacua, 25, has 37 catches for 417 yards in four games this season. The two-time Pro Bowler missed two games last month because of a core muscle injury.
