Rating Man City's summer signings including Erling Haaland, Kalvin Phillips and Manuel Akanji

It's no secret that Manchester City enjoyed an excellent transfer window.

Six signings, one of whom is destined to be the next best player on the planet, a complete squad refresh and a profit was even made. That's some summer of business for City and a rarity too, as Pep Guardiola has only tended to add a couple of players per window in recent years.

But it was time for a shake-up after years of success in order to keep the squad happy and hungry to win even more. Things certainly bode well after the opening weeks of the campaign and here's how the Blues' new recruits have fared at the Etihad so far.

Erling Haaland

It's only been nine games but we're already starting to run low on ways to describe Erling Haaland. The man is scarcely believable. It's only been nine competitive games but the Norwegian already has a remarkable 14 goals to his name. Only Bournemouth (shockingly) have managed to keep him at bay. City are basically starting every match one goal to the good.

He is scoring every type of goal, from everywhere on the pitch and is smashing even the highest of expectations. He is a force of nature that can't be stopped, you just have to hope the storm abates enough to survive. What a start and the best is yet to come.

Overshadowed somewhat by Haaland's arrival,
