Rasmus Hojlund made an impact during and after Manchester United's win
Rasmus Hojlund was happy to linger in the sunshine at full-time on Sunday. He quickly connected with Manchester United's away dayers on his debut in September and that bond is more ardent now.
United players and staff stood in awe as 3,001 supporters chanted relentlessly. Erik ten Hag almost always eschews the away end but you sensed he would make an exception on the final day.
"It’s amazing," Ten Hag enthused. "I have said we have the best fans in the world and I mean it. I have never had this experience when you have a season like us - which is by far not good enough.
"The supporters are with us, they are with us in the bad season and in good times, in bad times. They show they are there. I think they also know why the bad times are there but we have to pay them back.
"We have to do everything to give them a trophy next week, but also for the future we have to perform better."

United's party savoured the atmosphere for so long the impatient Brighton fans started booing, keen for their own team's lap of honour to commence. There was also a formal farewell from Roberto De Zerbi to observe.
Not every United player remained in the sun. Hojlund appeared to suggest to Alejandro Garnacho he should remain outdoors but he headed indoors after expressing appreciation. Hojlund is not shy in advising teammates, as some would attest whenever they have failed to service him, and Ten Hag told confidants back in July Hojlund "can deal with stress".
Scott McTominay, Raphael Varane, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Christian Eriksen and Marcus Rashford also departed early. That will matter to some
