Rapper accused of plotting ‘revenge shooting’ tells jury he is only interested in guns for ‘image’ in music
A rapper accused of plotting a shooting in ‘revenge’ has told a jury that he is only interested in guns for his ‘image’ in music. Olu Tunde Finni, who performs as 'Tunde', has gone on trial accused of involvement in a shooting at a house in Burnage in September 2020.
Two shots were fired into a property on Moorton Avenue just before midnight, fortunately no-one was injured. Mr Finni, 28, denies conspiring to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life, and is one of five men on trial at Manchester Crown Court.
A jury was previously told that the shooting was a case of 'mistaken identity', with the occupants being upstairs in bed at the time. Prosecutors said they are unable to say who fired the gun on September 27, 2020.

It is alleged that Mr Finni was involved in arranging the shooting. Prosecutors claim he was motivated by 'revenge' after his ex-partner's car had been 'bricked' about an hour earlier. His DNA was found on a bullet casing and a live round discovered at the scene by police, it was said.
Giving evidence from the witness box, Mr Finni denied arranging the shooting, telling jurors: “Not a chance”.
On the night in question, September 27, Mr Finni said he called the woman, who he said he had a ‘toxic on-off relationship’ for nine years. During the call he said she told him what had happened to her car.
“At the time I didn’t think much. She’s from Wythenshawe, there's a lot of stuff going on there, criminal damage, cars being smashed up, that sort of thing. It’s hard to get insurance while living round there,” he said.
“I was thinking different stuff, I was not thinking anything extreme.”
