Rangers will beat 'unconvincing' Celtic to Premiership title as momentum matters to man who knows both clubs well

Steven Pressley is convinced Rangers will win the league as he delivered a damning verdict of Celtic's campaign to date.

Philippe Clement's arrival in Govan has sparked a major revival and turn around in fortunes from early season life under Michael Beale with the Ibrox men now top of the Scottish Premiership table by two points after a consistent run of form under the Belgian while the Hoops have slipped up in recent outings including dropping home points last weekend to Kilmarnock in injury time at Parkhead.

Rangers have already bagged the League Cup this season with Brendan Rodgers and Co knocked out in the last 16 stage of the competition and they are still in the hunt for the Scottish Cup and have a Europa League last 16 draw on Friday to look forward to as they plot another memorable run in the competition.

Winning the league books a big Champions League pay day and former Hearts and Scotland defender Pressley - who played for both Rangers and Celtic - is convinced the title is heading for Ibrox as he admits Celtic have NOT convinced him in any shape or form this term.

Speaking to PLZ, he explained: "I think at this moment in time if you were to ask me to put my neck on the line I would say that I think Rangers will win the title this year.

"Nothing has convinced me from the other side of the city. I don't think through all this campaign they have been convincing in any shape or form.

"Now I see a Rangers side that are very much united, focussed and have great momentum at this moment in time. They are in pole position and I will be honest I don't see them giving that up."
