Rangers will be 'easily beaten' by PSV as former Dutch stars slaughter Rangers standard but pick out 'one good player'

PSV Eindhoven are an 'easy bet' to see off Rangers in the Champions League play-off, according to former Dutch international Youri Mulder.

Mulder rekcons that the Eredivisie outfit will not struggle to take out Gio van Bronkchorst's men on Tuesday as he reckons the Light. Blues have just 'one good player'. Speaking to Ziggo Sport, the Dutchman insists he made his mind up after tuning into the Ibrox outfit's third qualifying round against Union Saint-Gilloise.

Despite an impressive performance that saw Rangers score three to overturn the Belgian side's two goal victory in front of a 50,000 strong Ibrox crowd, Mulder isn't convinced PSV will have any trouble during the upcoming tie. The former Schalke and FC Twente striker doesn't think the Govan side are on the same level as PSV's previous opponents Monaco. Ruud van Nistlerooy's men bypassed the Ligue 1 side after a battle that lead the clash to extra time.

“I saw Rangers against Union,” the former Schalke and FC Twente striker said. "I didn’t like Rangers at all. (They are) two levels below than Monaco (who PSV beat in the last round). PSV will easily beat that. They have one good player and that is Malik Tillman.”

Former Ajax midfielder Jan Van Halst is also confident PSV defeat Rangers to secure their spot in the European competition's group stage. He said: "Rangers do not have the quality of Monaco and a different style of play with more physicality and power. PSV is growing something, but I’m afraid Rangers will come a little too early (in the season).”

But PSV may not be able to afford this level complacency when the whistle blows at Ibrox.
