Rangers warned of Champions League chameleons as Servette go from heavy metal to calculated approach

Servette head coach Rene Weiler has given Rangers a glimpse of the tactical tricks he will play if his side make it to the Champions League third round qualifiers.

The Swiss side piled the pressure on Genk as they attempt to make elite European group stage football for the first time, hitting 18 shots at goal during a tight first leg with the Belgians. Toluwalase Arokodare put the away side in front but Stevie Rouiller's leveller in the second half leaves it all to play for in the return leg next week.

Whoever wins the tie currently poised at 1-1 will meet Michael Beale's Rangers in the next round of Champions League qualifying, and Weiler thinks his side should be going into the second leg holding a lead. But now tactics shift ahead of that one, as he told SwissInfo: "We deserved to win. We had the chances to win.

"I am very satisfied with the performance of my team. They played well with the ball, without the ball too, there was aggression in the duels but in front, there was also a great team. Genk carried the danger. We won't play it the same way as tonight. Neither does Genk. It's going to be quite hard."
