Rangers transfer bulletin as Arsenal defender on radar and Ridvan Yilmaz sends clear message over Ibrox future

Philippe Clement has vowed that there will be a major overhaul at Rangers this summer - and is making good progress on that promise.

After wrapping up a deal to sign Fluminense wing-back Jefte - the Light Blues have now completed a deal for winger Oscar Cortes to return to the club from RC Lens. The Colombia international, who spent the second half of last season at Ibrox, has penned a one-year-loan deal with the club, with Rangers having an obligation to purchase him on a permanent transfer in 12 months time with a long-term contract kicking in at that point.

The Viaplay Cup winners' recruitment drive is showing no signs of slowing down, with Record Sport previously revealing that a club representative has jetted over to Mexico for a TransferRoom convention. Having released quintet Ryan Jack, Kemar Roofe, John Lundstram, Borna Barisic and Jon McLaughlin, Rangers are also keen to bolster their squad by continuing to scour the South American market, with Godoy Cruz' Chilean defender Thomas Galdames and Penarol midfielder Damian Garcia both reportedly on Clement's radar.

Much closer to home, the Gers have now been linked with a move for young Arsenal defender Reuell Walters. The Scotsman claim that the Govan side want to bring the full back, who is an England Under-20 international, on a permanent transfer this summer. Walters joined the Gunners from bitter north-London rivals Tottenham five years ago, and although he is yet to make a senior appearance for Mikel Arteta's side, he has made the bench on several occasions.
