Rangers squad revealed for Hearts as Alex Lowry and Leon King hope to pounce on Hampden reshuffle

Rangers have a chance of easing their Europa League final heartbreak when they face Hearts at Hampden on Saturday in the Scottish Cup final.

But Gio van Bronckhorst has some big decisions to make ahead of the clash.

Alfredo Morelos, Borna Barisic, Filip Helander and Ianis Hagi all miss out on the showpiece because of injury but otherwise there's strong competition for places in the Gers squad to face Robbie Neilson 's men.

Especially given the efforts many in light blue made on Wednesday night as they endured 120 minutes of football then a penalty shootout against Eintracht Frankfurt in the basking Spanish sunshine.

Van Bronckhorst has already revealed that Allan McGregor won't be getting one last Rangers send off as he opts to continue with deputy Jon McLaughlin for the cup games.

He also confirmed that Barisic would miss the match after limping off shortly before the end of extra time in midweek.

With the Croat out Van Bronckhorst has the decision whether to move Calvin Bassey from centre back to left back and then bring in Leon Balogun to partner Connor Goldson in the heart of defence.

The other option would be to give a chance to emerging talent Leon King in what would be the biggest game of his career so far.

Fellow academy graduate Alex Lowry will also hope to play some part and Van Bronckhorst hinted that he may.

There is also the key decision on whether Aaron Ramsey - who missed the decisive penalty against Frankfurt - starts against the Gorgie side with the Rangers boss admitting the on-loan Juventus star was very down and the entire squad was trying to do their bit to pick him up.
