Aaron Ramsey in line for post Rangers homecoming as Cardiff City 'approach' him AND Gareth Bale

Cardiff City are lining up an emotional double deal that would take Aaron Ramsey and Gareth Bale home to South Wales.

That's according to 90min who say the English Championship side are keen on an ambitious swoop for both stars.

Ramsey finds his career in flux after an underwhelming spell at Rangers that saw his involvement severely limited by injury.

His final act was a costly missed penalty in the Europa League Final as he was left out of the Scottish Cup finale with Hearts.

According to reports in Italy, Juventus are keen to offload him a year before his contract expires as they look to shift his stratospheric wages.

And it's claimed both he AND his Wales teammate Bale are being watched closely by Cardiff.

It's said the Bluebirds are "ready" to make an approach for both stars and hope to land them both for free.

The duo are currently riding high after helping Wales qualify for the World Cup and Cardiff are keen to use their emotional connection to their homeland to make a deal happen.

Bale is out of contract and is set to leave Real Madrid on a free.

However it remains to be seen how Cardiff would be able to pay the pair's wages as Bale took home £600,000 per week at Real while former Arsenal star Ramsey was reported to be on close to £400,000.

Bale’s camp has said, though, the superstar is NOT motivated by money and would accept a major cut.

Ramsey started his career at Cardiff before he joined Arsenal in 2008 and it would be an emotional homecoming for the 31-year-old.

He seems more likely to head back to south Wales than Bale but both will almost certainly have more lucrative top-flight offers on the table.
