Rangers return 'agreed' by Motherwell hero

Motherwell hero Liam Kelly is believed to have agreed a sensational summer return to Rangers.

Scotland international Kelly, who hopes to be named in Steve Clarke's Euro 2024 squad tomorrow, is reported to have agreed a deal to be part of Phillipe Clement's Ibrox rebuild.

The 28-year-old made 44 appearances for Motherwell last season and holds the record for the most consecutive league appearances in the last 10 years with 132, spanning from January 2021 to May 2024.

Motherwell captain Kelly is a free agent in the summer, and would help Rangers fill their Scottish squad quota for UEFA competitions ahead of Champions League qualifiers.

He started his senior career at Rangers in 2015, and spent 12 years at Ibrox in total before leaving for Livingston in 2018, and Queen's Park Rangers in 2019, before arriving at Fir Park in 2021, initially on loan.

A report in the Scottish Sun says Kelly will be deputy to Jack Butland next season, but found Rangers' offer too good to turn down.
