Rangers predicted XI as key man returns amid running repairs on banged up back line
The injury situation at Rangers may be a well worn excuse but it doesn't appear to be easing all that much.
St Johnstone visit Ibrox and Philippe Clement will still be without a number of top team stars. Jack Butland has been missing with an internal bleed, while John Souttar and Neraysho Kasanwirjo are longer term absentees. James Tavernier will definitely miss this one while Dujon Sterling and Leon Balogun remain doubts.
The good news is that Nico Raskin is back from suspension after missing the midweek draw with Dundee. Celtic's win up at Ross County means Gers must get three points of their own to avoid heading into next week sitting a whopping 18 points behind their city rivals. A makeshift defence will once more be tasked with keeping the goals out, although facing the league's bottom club should help in theory, with Simo Valakari's side in danger of being cut adrift.
