Rangers now front of the queue to sign 'world-class' magician this summer - transfer expert

Glasgow Rangers are reportedly now front of the queue to sign Aaron Ramsey on a permanent deal once his loan at Ibrox expires.

The reaction to the Teddy Bears signing Ramsey on Transfer Deadline Day has been huge, as Sky Sports journalist Keith Downie claimed that it was ‘extraordinary‘, while Light Blues legend Ally McCoist said that he is their ‘biggest signing since Gazza‘.

Unfortunately, the Wales international had to watch from the stands as Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s team were beaten 3-0 away at bitter rivals Celtic in the Scottish Premiership, but the Dutch manager will now hope that he can be integrated into the team for their next upcoming fixtures.

As per Italian football journalist and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Gers will now have ‘priority’ over other clubs with regards to trying to sign Ramsey permanently in the summer:

“Aaron Ramsey deal. Rangers have officially no buy option clause included with Juventus, it’s a straight loan until June – but the Scottish club will have priority to negotiate Ramsey’s permanent signing if both sides wish.”

If Ramsey is able to perform from now until the end of the season, then it will certainly be great news if they have first dibs on him come the summer.

There is no doubting his ability – after all he has won numerous big titles over the course of his career, including the Serie A with Juventus and no fewer than three FA Cups with Arsenal (Transfermarkt).

Wales international teammate Joe Allen even goes as far as to claim that he is ‘world-class’ on his day, and his 74 career assists certainly back the fact that he has magic in his feet.

Nonetheless, if the central midfielder can help them win the SPFL title, then a permanent deal is surely a no-brainer.
