Rangers issue fan weather warning ahead of Borussia Dortmund clash as supporters handed Europa League advice

Rangers have urged fans to allow extra time to travel to the clash with Borussia Dortmund amid Met Office weather warnings.

After Gio van Bronckhorst masterminded a 4-2 first leg win at the Westfalenstadion last Thursday Rangers have the chance to see off their Europa League foes at Ibrox.

However, both sides will have to overcome the elements in Govan with Scotland in the midst of a yellow weather warning.

Glasgow has been battered by heavy rain and snow in the run up to kick-off and the club have urged fans to stay safe on the way to the ground.

A Rangers statement read: "Due to weather conditions potentially affecting travel times supporters are advised to allow extra time to travel to Ibrox this evening."

Despite the conditions, it is set to be a red-hot atmosphere inside Ibrox in front of a sold-out crowd.

If the Premiership champions can navigate their way into the next round it would rank among the biggest ever European scalps for the club.
