Rangers fans LOVE Ange as cult hero reveals Ibrox diehards revel in brilliance of Celtic game changer

Tottenham hero Graham Roberts says he's been inundated with messages of "respect" from Rangers fans towards Ange Postecoglou - even before he made the move to England.

Postecoglou has wasted no time since leaving Celtic with Angeball winning hearts and minds from the word go in North London. They came from behind to win a battling point against rivals Arsenal that continued an immensely positive start to the season, sitting fourth in the Premier League table with four wins and no defeats at the six-game mark.

Spurs have scored 15 goals under Postecoglou, bettered only by Man City and Brighton, and are developing a reputation as one of the most exciting teams in Europe to watch. But it's come as no huge surprise to former Rangers and Spurs defender Roberts, who says he knew how good he was long before he took the Premier League by storm.

He posted on Twitter: "You can’t help loving Ange from day one and even when at Celtic so many of the Rangers fans kept saying to me how good he was and how they respected him and wanted him to come to Spurs. I can see how very quickly from the class way he behaves on sidelines to the way his teams play football, how he is loved so much.

"I love every press conference he does because he has his players backs, does not look for excuses like previous two managers. He has a way about him that just makes him special already, that is so clear to see."

Another man who has been pleasantly unsurprised by Ange's impact is former Celtic boss Martin O'Neill. He joked the derby might have gone different for him had Gabriel Jesus doubled Arsenal's lead after nicking the ball off James Maddison, but was full of praise for the Aussie and the job he has done in the early stages down south.
