Rangers fans fire warning to players and board as they unveil banner reminding club of 'standards that matter'

Rangers fans have fired out a message ahead of next week’s Viaplay Cup final against Celtic during their Scottish Premiership clash with Livingston at the Tony Macaroni Arena.

The travelling legions in west Lothian unveiled a banner which read: “Two trophies in 11 years - uphold the standards that matter.” Rangers have lifted the Scottish Premiership in 2021 and last season’s Scottish Cup since their return to the top flight and will contest the League Cup against their fiercest rivals at Hampden next week with the Hoops hoovering up the majority of domestic silverware available in the last decade.

Michael Beale’s men trail Celtic by nine points in the title race but can get their hands on the first trophy of the season at Hampden next week. They are also in the quarter finals of the Scottish Cup where they face Raith Rovers at Ibrox Stadium on March 12. And the players and the Ibrox board have been reminded of the demands of the support of the expectations.
