Rangers and Celtic fans fury as gold dust Scottish Cup briefs appear on ticket site for up to £475

Rangers and Celtic fans have hit out after gold dust Scottish Cup semi finals tickets appeared on a secondary ticketing site.

The big match briefs - which are £25 and £35 at face value - for the Hampden last four showdown are being advertised on a resale website.

And the cheapest ticket is showing at a whopping £300 right up to a “Platinum Package” for a staggering £475.

Many supporters of both clubs are set to be disappointed with a 50/50 split not enough for the rivals to satisfy the huge demand from their fans for the game.

The match on April 17 will be the first time the fierce rivals have met at the National Stadium since Celtic’s Betfred Cup final win in December 2019.

Fans are unhappy at tickets being sold by a third party website with some taking to social media to ask the club to investigate how it has happened.

One said on Twitter: “How can this be possible? The club must look into why fans who have travelled hundreds of miles to watch the team this season have been denied tickets while they appear on these websites.”

There is no general sale of tickets with Celtic saying earlier this week: “Tickets for the Scottish Cup Semi Final have been balloted amongst those Season Ticket holders who are on the Home Cup Ticket Scheme.

“We do not have a sufficient allocation of tickets for all STH who are on the HCTS.”

Rangers are offering tickets to supporters in the top priority group of their MyGers membership scheme.
