Randy Orton: Former WWE Champion sets out retirement plan

In a new interview, WWE Raw star Randy Orton has provided a rough update as to when he is planning on retiring.

Randy Orton debuted for WWE in 2002, and barring any injury layoffs, has been one of WWE’s featured performers for the last 20 years.

Orton, along with his tag team partner Riddle, reclaimed the Raw Tag Team Championship on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.

Randy was undoubtedly one of the most over people on the show, as was evidenced during his hot tag on the show this week.

Now, at the age of 41, Orton has given a rough indication as to when he is planning on hanging up his boots.

When speaking to Adam’s Apple YouTube channel, Orton explained that he thinks he’s got another ten years in him before he retires:

I just turned 40 a year ago. I got another decade in me, you know. We’ll see.”

That would take us to 2032, when Orton would be 51. For comparison, The Undertaker was 55 years of age when he retired at Survivor Series 2020.

As noted, Orton is the reigning Raw Tag Team Champion, and WWE confirmed that he’s going to be in action, alongside Riddle, at WrestleMania 38.

As of right now, RK-Bro’s opponents for the show aren’t known, but many expect the team to defend their titles against Street Profits, Alpha Academy, or possibly even both.

The last year or so has been tremendous for Orton, with the WWE star becoming one of the company’s most over performers again, as previously noted.

Orton has become so popular, so much so that some fans believe that Riddle should be the one to turn when RK-Bro eventually does split.

Many expected RK-Bro to have split up by now, with the pair colliding at WrestleMania, but WWE obviously sees value in the pair and wants to keep them together.
