Ramsgate appoint former Gillingham and Dartford boss Ady Pennock as their new manager
Ramsgate have named former Dartford manager Ady Pennock as their new boss.
Pennock left Darts after the final game of the Isthmian Premier season, a 3-2 home defeat by Cray Valley on Saturday.
He’s made a quick return to management following talks with Ramsgate chairman James Lawson, and succeeds Lee Martin, who was sacked a fortnight ago following their League Cup final defeat by Wingate & Finchley.
“We’ve had a couple of meetings and he sold the club to me,” Pennock, 55, told Ramsgate’s media team.
“I like the way he is, just his mannerisms and everything else, and his ambition.
“We’ve been here last season (4-4 draw with Dartford) and I thought the supporters were fantastic. They really got behind their team. I’m proud to become your manager.”

“If you look at the Premier League, it bores me sometimes, and even England bore me sometimes.
“I’m a great believer that people pay good money to come and watch football and we’re here to entertain.
“It’s really important the crowd get behind us and I know they will, and I want them to come and enjoy watching Ramsgate Football Club.”
Pennock has also had spells in charge of Welling, Barrow, Gillingham and Forest Green in English football, as well as winning the Singapore Premier League with
