Ramsey drops out, no place for Bailey - Aston Villa predicted XI vs Wolves

Back-to-back defeats to West Ham and Arsenal have knocked Aston Villa down a peg after their brilliant run of three wins on the spin. Up next it's West Midlands rivals Wolves at Molineux - a game Villa probably need to win if they're to catch and overtake Bruno Lage's men in the Premier League table.

Villa are 10 points adrift of Wolves but have a game in hand to potentially cut the gap down to seven. However, the alarming nature of Villa's 1-0 defeat to Arsenal has cast serious doubts on Villa being able to finish the campaign really well knowing it's Spurs and then title-chasing Liverpool after their trip to Molineux.

Against Arsenal, Steven Gerrard tweaked his system to bring Emi Buendia back in for Danny Ings, while Ezri Konsa was preferred to Calum Chambers. Ashley Young also started in place of the injured Lucas Digne. Assessing the options for Villa's next match and fans are calling to see more of the likes of Morgan Sanson and Leon Bailey - two players who have been somewhat frozen out in recent weeks.

To the predicted line-up for Wolves and Gerrard will most-likely stick with Emi Martinez, Matty Cash, Konsa and Tyrone Mings at the back, while Digne could well come back in at left-back knowing he's scheduled to return to match action for France on March 29 - just four days before Villa's fixture at Wolves.

In midfield for Villa, Douglas Luiz and John McGinn will no doubt get the nod while Sanson could well come in for Jacob Ramsey. The 20-year-old struggled against Arsenal which was his 16th consecutive start. French midfielder Sanson will surely come into Gerrard's thinking on April 2.
