Bemused Celtic punters reckon referee John Beaton and VAR missed another obvious penalty at Parkhead on Wednesday night.

And raging Hoops fans are of the opinion striker Kyogo was the subject of a a move not uncommonly seen in the NFL as St Mirren’s Mikael Mandron seemed to block the striker on his path to goal. It was a busy night for match official Beaton and VAR Nick Walsh as Brendan Rodgers' men were awarded a spot-kick in the first half after an Alex Gogic handball was penalised upon review. Celtic saw out the nervy affair 2-1 when Oh struck late to seal a priceless three points, but some irked punters reckoned the match officials missed another flashpoint in the second half with the game poised all square.

A clip on social media shows the Japanese talisman bursting past the Buddies forward before he is clocked by what seems to be a stiff arm, with punters likening the defensive move as akin to something seen on the American football field. One irked punter wrote: "Is this a clip from NFL?," with the BBC Sportscene cameras picking up the flashpoint.
