Durban's Super Giant's SA20 woes continued on Thursday as they lost at home to Paarl Royals at Kingsmead.

The Royals won the match by 5 wickets to continue their charge at the top of the log.

After a solid start from Quinton de Kock, who was promoted to open the batting for the first time this season, and Matthew Breetzke, the Super Giants were off to a solid start.

From there, the Super Giants lost their way as De Kock was caught on the boundary for 43 off 30, Kane Williamson fell for 4 and Heinrich Klaasen for 5 as the home side crashed to 81/4 after 12.2 overs.

Rubin Hermann came in and took over from where Pretorius left off as he attacked the Super Giants' quick bowlers from the start of his innings. Together with Mitchell van Buuren, the pair put on 52 for the third wicket before Hermann was bowled by Noor Ahmad for 44 off 22 leaving the Royals 77/3 after 7.4 overs.
