Queen's Jubilee LIVE updates as celebrations continue across Greater Manchester and the UK
Celebrations continue on Saturday as revellers across Greater Manchester and the country celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. Thousands are expected to enjoy street parties across the region throughout the weekend as people continue to take advantage of the long bank holiday weekend.
There are also a host of other events and things going on across the region including RHS Garden Bridgewater's Jubilee Weekend, Stockport's Secret Street Party and 'Fit For A Queen' festival over at Sackville Gardens in the city centre. The Manchester Evening News will be is heading out and about again today to see how the region is celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

On Friday, the royal family attended a service of thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral. The event was notable due to the absence of the Queen, who had to back out of the service on Thursday evening, after she suffered 'some discomfort' during that day's Jubilee celebrations.
The first key event of Saturday will be the Epsom Derby. The Derby is expected to attract the entire royal family and will begin at 5.30pm.
The Queen was due to attend the Epsom Derby, but she no longer plans to do so. The Princess Royal is expected to represent the monarch at the racecourse, where up to 40 past and present jockeys who have ridden for the Queen are due to form a guard of honour.
A massive open-air concert is poised to take place in the evening at 8pm. The BBC’s Platinum Party at the Palace – set on three stages in front of Buckingham Palace – will entertain a live crowd of 22,000 people and will air live to millions on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 7.30pm.
