Carabao Cup 1st round draw Live: Updates as Cardiff City, Swansea City and Newport County discover opponents

The draw for the opening round of the Carabao Cup takes place today.

Cardiff City, Swansea City and Newport County are all in the hat for the first round, with fixtures scheduled to take place on the week beginning August 8, shortly after the new EFL campaigns get under way.

All League Two, League One and Championship sides (with the exception of Burnley and Watford) will be involved in round one.

Cardiff are ball number 6, Swansea are ball number 31 and Newport are ball number 20, with all three of the Welsh clubs featuring in the South section of the draw.
