Queen of the South aim to continue unbeaten run at Falkirk

Wullie Gibson is targeting at least a point from Saturday’s journey to Falkirk to keep up Queen of the South’s unbeaten run.

After a shaky start to the league campaign the Doonhamers are now unbeaten in three and coming into the match off the back of a 4-1 win away to Peterhead.

But boss Gibson isn’t getting carried away as they come up against one of the pre-season favourites for the title.

He said: “There’s going to be no easy games in this league. If you go back to the start of the season you look at Falkirk and Dunfermline as favourites so it’s a big game.

“It’s important that we go there and get a result. In terms of picking up points on the road even one could be valuable but we’ll go there looking to win to create momentum going in to further games.”

The South come into the match off the back of their best performance of the campaign. The word consistency is one of the keys according to the manager.

He said: “Consistency, that is the word that Grant Murray used pre-match.

“We asked a few of the players who are real game changers to turn it on and they did.

“I think up the top end of the pitch we have some right good players and if we can iron out the mistakes, we will be a force.

“We got on the ball, showed composure, switched play to open them up and there were more positives than negatives this week which is good.

“We knew it was going to be a difficult game, like any game in this league is. We didn’t start too well and conceded an early goal which we need to iron out and improve on but after that I felt we completely dominated the game.

“I have been banging on about how good a football side we are and we’ve not showed it. The last time we dominated and showed what we were about is the Ayr United game but once
